Mitchell scored two touchdowns and amassed 209 rushing yards as Butler opened its PFL slate with a 28-18 victory at Stetson Saturday. His second touchdown – a 43-yard dash with 1:46 remaining – sealed the victory. Earlier in the game, his 58-yard touchdown run proved the game-winner as Butler built a 21-7 lead it would not relinquish. He closed the game with 155 yards on 16 carries in the second half.

His first pick came after the Butler scoring drive that built a 21-7 lead late in the third quarter. After Mitchell’s third touchdown extended the Bulldogs' lead back to 10 points, Holman picked off a pass on the first play of the ensuing drive and returned it 64 yards to seal the win.
